Annika Kim leads the Sourcing team at Inovexus, where she identifies and curates the best opportunities for the Inovexus community. Shaped by a childhood in Vancouver and a life lived across South Korea, France, the Netherlands, and Abu Dhabi, she brings a genuinely international perspective to everything she does. Her path to venture capital is anything but conventional.
Having spent her formative years as a concert violinist — performing as a soloist across Europe from the age of twelve — she stepped away from the stage driven by a desire to understand the wider world. That curiosity led her to study economics and data science at university, and to find herself immersed in a circle of AI entrepreneurs whose energy reminded her of something she had loved about music: the company of people who are genuinely, deeply passionate about what they do.
A stint supporting sustainability-sector startups at an NGO confirmed the fit, and she hasn’t looked back since. At Inovexus, Annika brings that same instinct — a sharp eye for potential and a genuine enthusiasm for connecting with founders building something meaningful. When she’s not sourcing deals, you’ll find her in outdoors adventures, cooking, catching live jazz in Amsterdam or Paris, or teaching the violin — keeping close the things that first taught her to appreciate craft and passion in equal measure.
